Matthew D Robinson A Sacramento, CA native was raised in New Mexico where he honed his cooking skills at some of the finest dining establishments in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque. After finishing his Apprenticeship at Rancho Encantado, a Conde Naste top 500 gold list award winning resort, his amazing work ethic and passion were instantly recognized as Matthew took over as Executive Sous Chef. Despite his love for the Santa Fe area he couldn't pass up the opportunity to take over as Chef De Cuisine at the then Albuquerque Hilton. Running all three restaurants, including the premier steak house "The Ranchers Club". To be closer to family and also explore promising opportunities to work in one of the worlds best cooking regions, Matthew decided to move back to Northern California. He started working as Executive Sous Chef for some of the Top restaurants in Sacramento under the direction of some of the finest Chefs in town. Always a student of food, he expanded his talents at these well respected Northern California restaurant, The Slocum House, Spataros and The WaterBoy. Matthew found a home at this beautiful bistro right in the heart of Midtown Sacramento called Kupros. He instantly fell in love and knew that his "bistro classics" cuisine would be a perfect fit. After a 10 year stint in Sacramento, CA, Matthews Gypsy soul starting itching and took him to Orange County, CA were again he started playing around with the areas top named restaurants and chefs until he took over as Corporate Executive Chef of The Crowbar and Kitchen, where once again he had found the perfect fit for his cuisine until the time of the sale of The Crowbar, when Matthew once again found himself on the move…………. And began consulting for some of the most iconic restaurants and resorts in Orange County, CA, Santa Fe, NM, Rogue Valley, OR, Austin, TX and various East Coast Locotions. Most recently Matthew was running the premier resort in Lake Tahoe, where he achieved the coveted Michelin Key.
